Synapse DEV (synapsedev.ca) is the trade name of Novarice Stratégie inc., a Québec-based company that builds custom business management applications with AI. It is not affiliated with Synapse Développement (a French linguistics software publisher), Azure Synapse Analytics (Microsoft), Synapse (the Matrix messaging server) or the cryptocurrencies called Synapse. Do I need an account to try it?
No. You can describe your business and start the build without an account. An account is requested to save your projects. The free trial is capped at 50 rows of data per table.
Do I own my application?
Yes. With a one-time buyout, you receive the full code of your application, your license and a guide to run it yourself; the “Built with Synapse DEV” mention is removed. There is no hosting subscription: your application runs on your side. The buyout amount depends on the sector and is shown before payment.
How much does Synapse DEV cost?
The Pro plan costs $49/month (unlimited generations, most trade extensions, continuous use without the trial cap) and the Premium plan $199/month (everything in Pro, plus more AI board sessions, a more powerful cloud AI engine and the premium extensions). You can try Pro free for 7 days (card required, cancel before the trial ends). The buyout of your application is a one-time payment, separate from the subscription.

Each one is then adapted to your business.
Is Synapse DEV suitable for businesses in other provinces and territories?
Yes. Synapse DEV is a Québec-based company and its starting templates are written first for Québec, but the application built for you adapts to the reality of your province or territory, anywhere in Canada, just as it adapts to your trade. Adapted does not mean compliant with all regulations: these are working bases, and your accountant, lawyer or professional order must validate them before official use.
Are Québec legal rules built in?
Several templates include the rules specific to their sector in Québec (for example Law 25 for clinics, mandatory invoicing for restaurants (Synapse DEV is not, however, a certified sales recording system), TAL notices for real estate, the CCQ for construction). These rules are a working basis: they do not replace the advice of your accountant, lawyer or professional order, and you must have them validated before official use.
Can I change my application after it is created?
Yes. You can request adjustments by conversation, notably the appearance (name, colors, font). After the buyout, you receive the full code, which your technical team can modify freely.
What technology is the application built with?
It is a web application built with Next.js and React, with a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database. After the buyout, the code is yours.
